The
Empire Suite was inspired by imperial expansion of 19th century France
and her rivals.
This suite includes an antechamber carved out of the
turret with space to catch up on postcards or reading. Five windows give
a westerly view of Maple-lined Wellington Street and the century homes
opposite; draperies are from vintage fabric we found in the house.
The
bath boasts an out-sized claw-foot tub and an antique leather-topped desk
as a vanity.

The Hunt room was developed around the fox hunt, but includes other
sporting elements.
Southerly windows overlook quiet, leafy West
Street. The bath includes a new circular shower and art for the birding
inclined. The bed is an interesting fabric insert antique.
Decorations includes the expected fox-hunt prints (ours are earlier then most), and c.1900 goose-hunting
graphics.
This suite has a masculine
feel, but interestingly has been popular with our women business
guests.
